Yes, it’s hot. Yes it’s August. Yes. it’s not April.
But here’s the deal. Movies are just better in a movie theatre. I’m sorry but they are. (and if you ask us, movies are just better at Harkins. It’s probably the popcorn). And one of the best things about the AZSFF is seeing your film that you worked so hard on in front of your friends and family on a screen way bigger than anything in your house.
So to do that (and make sure that we are all safe), we moved the festival to August. By then, we will able to safely get together and celebrate your awesome films!
And remember when we were like “we are changing the deadline?” Well, we’re like that again. We are going to push the deadline once more to give you the best chance at getting your work in on time. (Man, I so wish my teachers pushed the due dates).
So. our new and FINAL Official Deadline is March 12. Mark it on your calendar. Tell your teachers. Tell your parents. Tell your friends.
So March 12, get your films in.
August 21, watch it on the big screen at Harkins Scottsdale 101.
