CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS OF THE 2021 ARIZONA STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL!

Thank you to all of the filmmakers, friends and family who came out to the Arizona Student Film Festival screening at the 2021 Phoenix Film Festival. We are so glad that our filmmakers and their families had a chance to see these films on the big screen!

GRAND PRIZE WINNER:

Day 87 by Audrey Wood of Seton Catholic Preparatory High School

The days in quarantine seemingly blur together, but each day is unique. "Day 87" captures and amplifies the ordinary sounds and sights of one particular day in quarantine to show how everyday life is interesting.

For her work, Audrey wins a $1,000 scholarship to the school of her choice.

2ND PLACE:

See’s Men by Madison Hernandez of Catalina Foothills High School

The idea came from the fact that I work at See's Candies and package boxes of chocolates all day. Working at this job has made me realize there is a kind of art that comes with the shape and taste of the chocolates. I wanted this film to be an alternative look into what it take to make sells See's Candies chocolates.

3RD PLACE:

Sprinkles by Sejal Patel of Xavier College Preparatory

Its Jay's 20th birthday and he isn't appreciative of his father's gift. As he blows out the candles, he goes forward in time 20 years to his 40th birthday but, his father isn't there. Will he be able to fix his relationship with his father?

4TH PLACE:

Claire by Sejal Patel & Sophia Sweatlock of Xavier College Preparatory

A teacher accidentally kills her niece in a car crash and starts seeing her in school and eventually goes crazy.
